first date main Full Good Date Ideas

There are good date ideas and bad date ideas. This article explains the best places to go on a date which guarantee a fun time, and go easy on the wallet too! As a guy, you’re the one who is supposed to lead. If you want to ask a girl out, you have to know where to take her.

The traditional ‘dinner and a movie’ dates simply do not work. Well, that depends on your goals… If your goal is to spend a bunch of money, have awkward silences, and sit in the dark without talking…then yeah, go for it. But, if you want to actually make a genuine connection with a girl, have fun, and have it lead somewhere, you’re going to have to start thinking outside the box.

Good Date IdeasWhy Dinner and Movie Dates Don’t Work!

This was one of the first things I got out of the book Double Your Dating. Let’s say this is your first date (or second) with a girl. You go to an OK restaurant and order your meals. As you sit across from each other you try to talk about your day and have a normal conversation. Then, as a connection is being formed, your food arrives. Now you’re trying to eat your pasta without getting anything on your shirt. You’re not even enjoying your meal and neither is she! God forbid you actually drop something on yourself (That would actually make it funny).

You finish your meal and insist on paying ($100 gone like the wind). Now you go to the movies, where you two can sit in a DARK ROOM together and NOT TALK. Does anyone else find this weird? At the end of the date you get the cheek and you go home. Boom.

The reason the date sucked is because you had no chance to: get physical, have fun, and build a connection. Here are some good date ideas I want you to try, the next time you go on a date:

Bowling (Glow-in-the-dark is even funner)

As you’re bowling you’re having fun. This will open you up and get you more talkative. You can joke around a bit and get competitive. Right away, the girl is having fun and you’re having fun. You’re communicating much more and there is a lot of room to get physical (ex. Try to “mess up her shot” by tickling her).

Cost: $30

Picnic

This is one of my favorites. Just grab a basket, two towels, some fruits, $7 wine and you’re set to go. You can go to the beach or the park and just have a nice relaxing lunch. This gives you a lot of time to make a connection and get physical while at the same time not beating up your wallet. Maybe bring a Frisbee or a soccer ball.

Cost: $15

The Beach

The beach is an amazing place to take a girl on a date. This is one of my favorites out of the good date ideas listed. It’s a favorite of mine because I work out 5x and I love being out doors. Now, if you’re body doesn’t look like Joe Cutler’s, don’t worry. As long as you’re having fun it’s OK. (you are going to the gym… aren’t you?). You get to see the girl in a bikini which is always a plus. At the beach you guys can tan, give each other massages, and play volleyball. Plus, someone’s got to put sunscreen on her back…might as well be you!

Cost: $0.

I hope this article gave you some new insights on dating. Try one of the three good date ideas next time you’re out.

I got these practical tips that actually WORK from the Double Your Dating e-book. You can read my review here. Click on the picture for more information:
